14th Sunday in Ordinary Time; Independence Day

indepen16Today we celebrate the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time and Independence Day. We are the people of God who realize our discipleship of Christ in our private lives. We also realize our freedom that we are one nation under God and we can do everything together, but we have to every time stand united especially with God and our neighbors.

Today’s gospel focuses our eyes on the mission of the laity. That every member of the Church ordained and non-ordained suppose to be the missionary with the great power to care the sickness of body and soul.

The Eucharist is the special call of Jesus and election all of us to do the task of curing in our private lives. We have to realize this and follow the message and the attitudes of Jesus Christ our Master and Lord. We need only to go with great faith in Him and do the deeds which are coming from our belief.
