Today we celebrate the 5th Sunday of Easter and Mother’s Day. First of all our mothers – they are the source of our lives these physical and spiritual as well. They accepted us and take the difficult task of our education and growing up. Mothers also encourage the children in spiritual life: to go to the Church, to pray and to be faithful to their faith. Everyone has the reverence to his or her own mother. Everyone should thank and remember of our mother in this day: sends the card, calls to her and especially prays for her.
This 5th Easter Sunday gives us the special power for our way through this world. This is the power of Jesus Christ Resurrected – He is our way, our truth and our life. – He leads us to God our Father by his death, resurrection and ascension.
For us the Eucharist which we celebrate each Sunday is the station on the way to God our Father: Here we hear the Word of God and we eat the body and blood of Christ. Here our lives get the new meaning. This is the station to strengthen our spirit and also our flesh.

One Main Point
Jesus announced his departure from the world and reassured his disciples that he is going to prepare a place for them at the Father’s house. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; and only through him can we establish a relationship with the Father.
Reflections
- Imagine yourself at the last supper with Jesus. What would be your thoughts and attitude? What questions would you ask him about where and why he is going?
- Thomas expressed his confusion: “Master, we do not know where you’re going so how can we know the way?” Does this question reflect my confusion about the direction and the goal in my spiritual life?
