15th Sunday in Ordinary Time

….a hundred, or sixty or thirtyfold.

Today we celebrate the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today we will hear the Word of God, because it is for us the food for the Christian life or as Prophet Isaiah says it is like rain and snow which come down and do not return to heaven till it has watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful.

The Word of God starts our faith because our believing starts from the good thoughts which we hear during the Mass or our private study of the Holy Bible. We have to be as a good soil from the parable of the sower to produce good fruits in our private lives.

The Eucharist is the special place where the word of God is put on the special table of the Word as a food for everyone who is there.

“A sower went out to sow…”
