Today we celebrate the third Sunday in Ordinary Time. On this Sunday Christ proclaims that we have to repent, to enter the Kingdom of God.
And from the other side the Sunday scripture readings are talking about radical discipleship. And by radical discipleship Holy Bible means something much more than just following Jesus in a pedestrian sort of way. It means something much more than only talking about Christ; it means – doing his Holy Will.
All of us experience the call of Christ to be his disciples; if we didn’t then not one of us would be here in this Church today. For many of us this call of Christ was mediated through our families and teachers; we were brought up in a believing family and absorbed the faith along with our mother’s milk.
The Eucharist is like the “big charging†of “our inner battery†of Christian life. Here and now we have the explanation of the word of God and we have the tangible food for our spirit – the Holy Communion.

Reflections
1. To receive God’s Kingdom requires a change in my outlook, my way of life. How is my way of life different from God’s teachings? 2. To follow Jesus means to take nothing with me except myself. Looking at my past and present way of life, what are the things I have difficulty letting go of?
One Main Point
A new world (the Kingdom of God) has arrived. That new world comes in the person of Jesus. We are asked to respond by changing our way of life, and to follow Him.
