Today we celebrate the second Sunday in Ordinary Time. We are once again in the Ordinary Time when we receive teaching concerning ourselves. Today we have a call like Andrew and the other disciple, John. We need to recognize and to realize this call as the voice of God who speaks directly to us. We have to go and make disciples for God, make our relatives and friends the company of Jesus Christ – this is the simple task of the Church as a community of believers.
The Eucharist, which we now celebrate is our help: from one side there is the explanation of the word of God and from the other the real meal to help us to do the will of God in our own lives.
