Today we celebrate the 6th Sunday of Easter and the Mothers’ Day.
First of all, we love our mothers. Everyone has the reverence to his or her mother. Everyone thanks and remembers of own mother in this day: sends the card, calls to her and especially prays for her. Mothers are very important persons in our lives. Mothers may not know it, but they are often responsible for the faith development of their children more than many priests put together. Mothers encourage the children to go to the Church, to pray and to be faithful to the faith. If we are good children, we will be there.
Today’s gospel directs our thoughts on the relationship with Jesus by the Holy Spirit who is our Paraclete – the Advocate or the Coach. He is with us always especially when we are in the difficult time of our life.
The Eucharist is the time when we hear the words of Jesus, and we start follow it. It is also the situation when we love each other especially our moms and we realize by this fact our love to God.
“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate.”

Reflections
- Have I ever felt the presence of Jesus living in me? How do I recognize and react to his presence?
- What are the forces that still keep me lying instead of always telling the truth?
- If I am an orphan, how do I feel? What do I need the most? What should I do?
