Today we celebrate the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time and Labor Day on Monday.
Ordinary Time challenges us to recognize our real relationship to Jesus and his Church by the God’s law and Church’s law and after this our relationship to the others – our neighbors by commandment of love.
We can be involved in the mission of the Church with all our forces, or we can avoid the responsibility for the future of this community. Our engagement is very important, especially when our community of the Church is very small and needs total and cheerful commitment of everyone with whole heart.
The Eucharist is “the business” of our whole heart. It is the lovely reaction of whole community to the God. In this action we realize our desires to give thanks to God and our brothers by Jesus Christ who is our leader and after this to obtain our eternal goal – our salvation in heaven.
“Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person.”

- MY MISSION: When I am the disciple of Christ and the member of his Church, I realize this and participate in all matters which concern Him. The Ordinary Season and the Sunday’s Masses are not my challenge but my call.
One Main Point
Jesus demonstrates that the Pharisees and scribes annul God’s word with their human traditions.
Reflections
- What role do external observances play in our life of faith?
- What do I like best and least about what comes from within me? How can I control what comes from within?
